The data is derived from EUROSTAT and demonstrates the difference in the level of self-employed persons working in the cultural sector in comparison to the overall level of self-employed persons in total employment. The results show the comparatively high level of self-employed cultural professionals and thus supports continuing demands for the introduction of tax and social security measures to improve their socio-economic status (as available for other groups of self-employed professionals).
